British Asian Club Championship set to launch in May

THE first-ever British Asian Club Championship (BACC) is set to take place in May.

Supported by the Football Association and Kick It Out amongst others, the BACC will be held at the Gordon Banks Sports Centre in Newcastle-Under-Lyme on 20th May.

According to the organisers, the BACC has been designed to recognise and reward the efforts of Asian-backed and based clubs across the UK.

There are a number of tournaments taking place on the day in the following categories: Under 8s, Under 10s, Under 12s as well as adult competitions including one for the Over 35s. All games will be officiated by accredited FA officials.

Keep an eye out on DesiBallers in the coming weeks for an exclusive interview with the founders of the British Asian Club Championship.

DesiBallers is encouraging teams to enter the competition as it will no doubt be a positive and progressive competition with the aims of creating partnerships and widening the pool of Asian players in the grassroots scene which will hopefully allow them to climb up the footballing ladder.
